PLA and Russian forces invade South Podagorsk

London (Reuters) - Only a few hours after the audacious assault, the South Podagorsk Army has once again taken up defensive positions, this time much closer to the capital of Berezniki. The PLA and Russian forces it seems are holding short for the moment and  earlier today they were seen to be building defensive positions of their own. It is likely that their main force is still in reserve and that this incursion is nothing more than a probe to test the waters. The United Nations are now confronted with a difficult decision. Only last week the US presented their case to the United Nations, and they received a very mild response. As things stand now it would do well for the UN to take a more decisive stand on the matter. Hesitation will only strengthen the aggressor and should be avoided at all times. More news on this as it happens.

In other news; the government has spoken out that because of the curfew the crime wave that hit Podagorsk these last few weeks has died down overnight.. Skeptics believe that this drop in crime has more to do with a temporary cessation of hostilities rather than a result of the curfew and that the government is clutching at straws.
